Mookaite Towers - Mookaite Jasper Towers
This collection of mookaite towers are all quite interesting with a wide range of colors and patterns that all come together to look like, to me, paint dripped and tossed against a stone canvas.
Some contain druse, but are otherwise quite smooth and well polished.
They currently come in 3 sizes:
Small: 60 to 70 grams (2.11 to 2.47 ounces)
Medium: 90 to 105 grams (3.17 ounces to 3.7 ounces)
Large: 150 grams (5.3 ounces) - which is currently the one pictured on the right
Fun Fact: Mookaite does not actually derive its name from a cow excitedly flying a kite, but actually comes from a radiolarian chert often mined in Australia (though it can be found in numerous other places around the world like California and The Alps).
