Watermelon Tourmaline on Calcite Specimen
This multicolor tourmaline is nicely displayed on a large piece of calcite.
The calcite glows a nice pinkish purple under UV. There is also a streaky yellow area under the UV. I'm not entirely sure what is going on there, but it is interesting to look at :)
The specimen in total weighs 235 grams (8.2 ounces) and measures around 3.4 by 2.4 by 1.6 inches.
